Decrepit Birth se formo en el año 2001, es una banda de brutal death metal progresivo, proveniente de Santa Cruz, California, la cual mantiene un contrato con la discografica Nuclear Blast.
La banda ha lanzado 2 albumes de estudio; …And Time Begins (2003) y Diminishing Between Worlds (2008) a traves de Unique Leader Records. En el 2010 lanzaron su tercer álbum y el primero con Nuclear Blast Records, titulado Polarity.
Por las filas de Decrepit Birth han pasado un gran número de artistas, algunos de la talla de Derek Boyer (Suffocation - bajo), Tim Yeung (Ex-Hate Eternal, Divine Heresy, World Under Blood - batería), Kevin Talley (DÅÅTH, ex-Chimaira, ex-Misery Index, ex-Dying Fetus - batería), Risha Eryavec (ex-Divine Heresy - bajo), etc…
